What should I do if my vehicle is impounded?
If your vehicle is impounded for any reason, please call us immediately at 508-676-1500. One of our Account Managers will be available to assist you. By acting quickly you have the best chance of expediting the return of your vehicle, and potentially saving yourself significant expense.

How do I handle an insurance claim due to physical damage?
In the event you have an insurance claim, you should first call your insurance provider. Next, please contact us at 508-676-1500. Please have your claim number, insurance agent’s phone number, and any pertinent details of the accident and damage to the vehicle available.
How do I get my insurance check endorsed?
Insurance checks written for the repair of your vehicle or payment of your account are typically made payable to you and State Cap Auto Finance. In some cases these checks will be made payable to the repair shop as well. We require proof repairs have been made for us to provide our endorsement on the check.
Is it possible to refinance my contract?
We do not offer contract refinancing. If you need assistance or have questions, please contact one of our Account Managers at 508-676-1500 to discuss.
Is there a grace period for late payments?
Payments are required to be made by the date listed in your contract. If you have missed your scheduled payment due date, we may attempt to contact you in regards to the missing payment. Interest charges will accrue on the full outstanding principal balance of your loan until the date your payment is received and posted to your account. If applicable, a late fee may be assessed to your account as stated on your contract. Please review your contract or contact one of our Account Managers at 508-676-1500 if you have any questions.
When do late fees go into effect?
Late fees vary by state. According to the terms of your contract, you must make timely payments. You should review your contract to see when a late fee will be assessed to your account. Information regarding the amount of any late fee is also listed on your contract. If you have any questions regarding late fees, please contact one of our Account Managers at 508-676-1500.
